The Stony Creek-Thimble Islands Historic District is a historic district in Branford, Connecticut that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1988.[1]
The 1,400-acre (5.7 km2) area of the district includes part of the Stony Creek mainland area of Branford, along Thimble Islands Rd. between Rt. 146 and Long Island Sound. It also includes the Thimble Islands.[1]
It includes the Stick Style House at Stony Creek at 34 Prospect Hill, which is separately listed on the National Register. The house, which was built in 1878, is in Stick style architecture, by an unknown designer.[1]
The district includes 346 buildings and four other structures.[2] Georgian architecture is represented.[1]
